9th Central European Relativity Seminar
Venue
The conference will be held at the Marian Smoluchowski Institute of Physics of the Jagiellonian University, ul. Lojasiewicza 11 (lecture room A-1-06), which is about 20-minute ride from the city center. One can get there using the public transportation (trams number 11, 18, 52 or bus number 194) to reach Norymberska stop and then taking a short walk.

Arriving by plane
From Kraków Airport: Take the bus number 208 to the main railway station (journey time approximately 30 minutes). Tickets (5.- PLN, ~ 1EUR) may be purchased in the vehicles. There is also a train going from the airport to the main railway station departing every hour (8.- PLN per ticket). Then you may use the public transport to get around the city.
Arriving by train
Kraków Central Station is located in the city center. Budapest, Lviv, Prague and Vienna have direct service to Kraków. Train trip from Warszawa to Kraków takes approximately 3 hours.
Public Transport
You can find timetables of the public transport in Kraków or you can use a journey-planner. Two most popular ticket types for one person are 20-minute unlimited bus and tram journeys (2.80 PLN) and 40-minute unlimited bus and tram journeys or unlimited time but single journey (3.80 PLN). The tickets are available from the ticket machines in all trams and buses. Please note that some of them accept only coins and some–only credit/debit cards. You may also buy tickets in the stationary machines (Automat KKM) at some of the bus or tram stops (both coins and cards accepted).
Internet access
The wireless internet access is available via eduroam, for which an account is required. Please, check before your departure that your eduroam account is active.
Accommodation
We have made preliminary reservations in:
the student hotel Żaczek (double rooms)
guesthouses of the Jagiellonian University:
Stanisław Pigoń Guesthouse (three single rooms, four double rooms),
Floriańska Guesthouse (four single rooms, one double room),
Guest rooms at the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science (three double rooms),
Guest rooms at the Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology (one single room, one double room)
